Delivering the website
When you load this website, technically necessary connection data is transmitted to the infrastructure delivering it. This includes the IP address, time, requested file and transmitted browser, device and, where provided, referral information. Processing enables delivery, secure operation and troubleshooting. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Technology without tracking
This website uses no cookies, advertising services or JavaScript. Fonts and images are loaded from its own webspace. There are no embedded tracking scripts, contact forms, external maps or videos. The hosting service’s log-based web statistics are described separately below. An ordinary page visit does not trigger an access or gate action.
Hosting, recipients and retention
This website uses cPanel web hosting provided by Host Europe GmbH, c/o Spaces, Gertrudenstraße 30–36, 50667 Cologne, Germany. Host Europe identifies Strasbourg, France, as the data-centre location for this hosting platform. Host Europe privacy information.
Host Europe processes connection and access data needed to deliver, troubleshoot and protect the website. This includes the IP address transmitted with a page request, its time, the requested address, browser/device information and, where supplied, the referring page. The legal basis for delivery, secure operation and a log-based usage overview is the legitimate interest in a reliably operated website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Host Europe specifies a 14-day retention period for the cPanel platform’s regular Apache access and error logs. Additional access-log archiving is enabled in the hosting account. The option to remove the previous month’s archives at month-end is selected; no custom fixed retention period in days is configured. The 14-day period therefore does not apply to every stored archive.
AWStats and Webalizer are enabled for hafner.info in the hosting service. They generate usage statistics from server logs, including visits, referring pages, browsers and countries; IP addresses are also processed. No analytics script is loaded in your browser and no statistics cookie is set for this. According to Host Europe, these web statistics remain in the hosting account until deleted. Automatic deletion after 14 days is not promised for them.
Host Europe may use other providers and affiliated companies to supply its technical services. Its subprocessor list also includes companies outside the EU/EEA, including for platform support and security tasks. A European data-centre location therefore does not guarantee that all processing takes place exclusively in the EEA. Contact the controller for information about the recipients, transfers and safeguards relevant to this website.
For access, objection or erasure requests concerning website access data, contact gateaccess@hafner.info. Data still required for a specific security incident or a statutory obligation may be retained until the matter is resolved or the obligation ends.
Contact by email
If you send an email, your sender address, message and voluntary details are processed by the provider and its email service to handle the enquiry. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a contract, otherwise the legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messages are retained only as long as required for handling the enquiry and any statutory obligations. Please do not send secret access links or access files.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons arising from your particular situation. Any consent you give may be withdrawn for the future.
